The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively is a fundamental skill that is essential for personal and professional relationships. The increased use of technology has had a negative impact on communication, as we don’t have access to non-verbal cues to help us interpret a message.
Many people look at communication from the viewpoint of what is transmitted, rather than what is received. Skills such as listening, questioning and summarizing are often overlooked, yet they are crucial for effective communication to take place.
In more recent months, there are additional problems with communication skills caused by online meetings. The inability to easily “read the room” creates an additional communication challenge.
This interactive course is designed with these factors in mind and aims to enable the trainee to overcome as many of these challenges as possible. Participants will come away with a good understanding of how to improve their communication skills.
