Programme overview

A series of six, one hour, fun, engaging Workplace Wellness talks covering a variety of wellness topics.

Each one hour talk is designed to empower and inspire staff to take ownership of their health and give them the motivation, knowledge and practical tips to improve their diet, lifestyle and overall wellbeing.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the training programme, participants will:

1. Kick Start your Health

  • The basics of healthy living
  • Where and how to start improving your overall wellbeing
  • Hydration and tips for drinking more water
  • How to be more active in your everyday routine
  • The 2 most significant simple changes you can make to improve your overall diet
  • How to prioritise and ensure a good night’s sleep

2. Healthy Eating Made Easy

  • What does “healthy eating” actually mean?
  • The difference between wholefoods and processed foods
  • How to gradually introduce more wholefoods into your diet
  • Tips for making meals and snacks more nourishing
  • Simple swaps you can make
  • Healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack ideas

3. Just a Spoonful of Sugar

  • Why sugar has such a bad reputation
  • How much sugar is too much
  • How to calculate the sugar content in food
  • Natural versus added sugar
  • Tips for gradually reducing your sugar intake and things to beware of
  • How to deal with cravings
  • How to ensure good energy levels throughout the day

4. Weight off Your Mind

What causes weight gain/loss

  • What calories are
  • Different types of calories
  • Most common weight-loss sabotagers
  • Why traditional “diets” don’t work in the long term
  • Tips for losing/managing weight in a sensible and sustainable way

5. Mind Yourself

  • My story of burning out as a result of unmanaged stress
  • How I developing crippling anxiety
  • What I did to improve my mental health and fully recover
  • What stress is and how it can affect us
  • How to manage stress and become more resilient
  • Tips for protecting and improving your overall mental health day to day

6. Unplug

  • How smartphones and social media are affecting our physical and mental health
  • What compels us to check our phones
  • Where and how to start cutting down on your smartphone use
  • Using your smartphone and social media in a more conscious, healthy manner
  • How and why I ultimtely gave up my smartphone
